Sample papers are pattern-based practice papers that mirror the actual exam — same number of sections, same marking scheme and similar difficulty. Solving them under timed conditions is one of the fastest ways to improve speed, accuracy and stamina for any government exam.

Use this page to download free sample papers in PDF for SSC, Banking, Railway, UPSC, Teaching and State PSC exams.

How sample papers help your preparation

They reveal the exact exam pattern — section break-up, marks per question, negative marking and time limit — so you walk into the exam hall with zero surprises.

They expose your weak topics. A pattern of mistakes in a specific subject is a clear signal of where to spend your next 7–10 days of revision.

How to practise sample papers correctly

Solve each paper in one sitting with a timer set to the exact exam duration. Use a clean desk, no notes, no phone — simulate the real exam environment.

After the paper, spend at least the same amount of time on analysis. Mark questions as "correct & confident", "correct but guessed" and "wrong". This three-bucket review tells you what to study next.

Time management and marking scheme tips

Decide a per-section time budget before you start. If a question is taking more than 60–90 seconds, skip and return later. Account for negative marking — for most government exams, attempting a question with less than 50% confidence usually loses more marks than it gains.

Common mistakes to avoid

Do not skip the analysis step. Solving 20 papers without reviewing mistakes is far less useful than solving 8 papers with deep review. Do not change strategy on exam day — stick to the section order and time budget you practised.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are sample papers different from previous year papers?

Previous year papers are the actual papers used in past exams. Sample papers are model papers built on the same pattern. Use both — start with sample papers, then move to previous year papers.

How many sample papers should I solve before the exam?

A common benchmark is 15–25 full-length papers in the final 6–8 weeks, with detailed analysis after each. Quality of review matters more than raw count.

Are answer keys provided?

Yes. Each sample paper PDF includes an answer key and, where available, a detailed solution.

Are sample papers available in Hindi?

Bilingual or Hindi-medium papers are tagged with the "Hindi" language badge on the card. We are continuously expanding regional language coverage.

Can sample papers replace coaching?

Self-study using a structured book + sample papers + previous year papers + mock test analysis has worked for thousands of selected candidates. Coaching can speed things up, but is not mandatory.
