Introduction & Scope

TrueJobs.co.in ("TrueJobs", "we", "us", or "our") is an independent remote jobs directory. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how it's used, and the choices you have.

You don't need an account to use TrueJobs, and we don't collect resumes or job applications — those go directly to the employer's own site. The personal information we receive directly is limited to what you choose to send us by email or through our report and removal-request forms.

Job Listings and Where They Come From

Listings come from employers' own job boards and, where their terms allow it, from job boards that share their listings (each one is credited on the listing). We store the job details those sources publish — title, employer, description, location and application link — to show the listing and to check it is still open. Email addresses and phone numbers that appear inside job descriptions are not shown. Raw copies of source data are deleted after 90 days.

Reports and Removal Requests

If you report a listing or an article, we store your reason, any details you add, and a one-way hash of your IP address (used only to stop abuse and to count reports from different visitors). Reports are kept for one year. If an employer asks us to remove its listings, we keep the request, the contact email and our decision so we can keep honouring it.

Articles Written With AI Assistance

Some of our guides are researched and drafted with the help of an AI service and then reviewed and approved by a person before they are published; such guides say so on the page. No visitor data is sent to the AI service. See how we write our guides.

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, our web server and hosting provider record standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. We use these logs only to keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems, and we keep them only as long as needed for those purposes. We don't use them to build profiles of visitors.

Cookies We Set

TrueJobs itself doesn't set cookies for visitors browsing jobs or guides. A login cookie is used only for our own staff in the admin area. Advertising and consent cookies set by Google are described below.

In line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK Data Protection Act, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), and Google's EU User Consent Policy:

• When ads are shown to visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) that supports the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) v2.3.

For users in India, we process personal data lawfully, only for the purpose it was provided, and keep it to the minimum needed, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023:

• Emails you send us: If you contact us, we use your email address and message only to respond to you and keep it only as long as needed to handle your request.
• Access, correction & erasure: You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to privacy@truejobs.co.in.
• Grievances: You can raise a privacy grievance with our Grievance Officer using the details below.

Children

TrueJobs is a job directory intended for adults. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
