How We Write Our Guides

How articles on TrueJobs are researched, written, checked and corrected.

Who the guides are for

Our guides help people in India, the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland find remote work they can actually apply for, avoid scams, and work well across time zones. Topics come from what job seekers ask and from patterns we see in the listings on this site.

How an article is made

  1. Research. We collect facts from published sources, preferring official ones (government, regulators, and the documentation of the tools and platforms discussed). Some research and first drafts are prepared with AI assistance.
  2. Source checks. Every factual statement must be backed by a source we have read, and quoted wording must appear in that source. Statements we can't back up are removed.
  3. Human review. A member of the TrueJobs team reads every article, checks it against its sources and approves it before it's published. Nothing is published without that approval.
  4. Labelling. Articles prepared with AI assistance say so at the end, next to their sources.

Corrections and updates

We re-check the sources of published articles regularly. If a source changes or a reader reports a mistake, the article goes back to review and is corrected or withdrawn. Every article shows when it was last updated. You can report an error at any time.

What our guides are not

Our guides are general information, not legal, tax, immigration or financial advice. For decisions about your own situation, check the official sources we link to or ask a qualified professional.
