Editor's notes

This is the first edition of a monthly report built from TrueJobs' own catalogue, so there is no earlier month to compare against yet. The catalogue was loaded during October 2026, which is why the October movement figures show 682 new listings against 48 expiries: that is the initial load, not a hiring surge. From December onwards the month-on-month changes will be meaningful.

The headline number is modest: fewer than one in five listings from these five employers is open to someone applying from India, and almost all of those come from a single company whose remote policy is worldwide. Mozilla's 99 listings are all restricted to specific countries, and GitLab's 170 include only three that accept Indian applicants. If you are applying from India, the practical lesson is to read the location line before anything else; our eligibility guide explains what 'US only', 'EMEA' and 'worldwide' mean in practice.

The skills picture follows the employer picture. Because the India-eligible listings are dominated by one infrastructure company, Linux, Kubernetes, Go and Rust appear far more often than front-end or product skills. Sales roles are the second-largest group, mostly business-development and account roles that accept applicants from any country but may still need overlap with US or European hours.

No employer in the catalogue states a salary in its listings. That is normal for these companies' career sites but it means applicants from India have to rely on other sources when judging an offer; our guide on evaluating USD salary offers covers how to do that.

A note on scope: five employers' career sites are a small window on remote hiring, and the counts change every day as roles open and close. Treat the figures as a reading of TrueJobs' catalogue on 2 November 2026, not as a survey of the market. We will add employers as their listings pass our checks, and the next edition will show what changed.

Methodology

Data source. Every figure is computed from TrueJobs' own catalogue of remote job listings, which is built from the employers' own applicant-tracking systems (career-site feeds). Each listing was checked against the employer's site before it went live. The snapshot was taken on 2 November 2026; counts change daily as listings open and close.

What counts as a listing. A job with status 'published' on TrueJobs that is not hidden and not a recorded duplicate at snapshot time.

How "open to applicants in India" is decided. The listing's allowed-country list contains 'IN' or 'WW' (worldwide) and its excluded list does not contain 'IN' — the same rule the job pages use for the India badge and the /jobs?location=india filter. The allowed and excluded lists come from the eligibility rules TrueJobs applies to the employer's own location text and job description (default-deny: a listing with no country evidence is not counted as open anywhere). Classification confidence for this snapshot: high 453 (71%), medium 183 (29%), low 0 (0%).

What "worldwide" means. The listing's allowed-country list contains 'WW': the employer accepts applicants from any country (specific exclusions, if any, still apply). Worldwide listings are included in the India count unless India is explicitly excluded.

Salary. The employer published a salary figure or range in the listing. No ranges are estimated or inferred.

Movement. New listings: Jobs first seen on the source during the window that have been published on TrueJobs. Expired: Jobs with status 'expired' whose last update falls in the window. Listings removed for other reasons (hidden after a report, archived) are not counted as expired.

Limitations. This is a count of what a small number of employers (5 in this edition) list on their own sites, not a survey of the labour market, and it says nothing about roles listed elsewhere. Eligibility is read from the employer's wording by an automated rule and can be wrong; the listing page always shows the evidence used. Counts are a single-day snapshot and change daily. Comparisons between editions reflect both real hiring changes and changes in which sources TrueJobs lists.

Figures describe listings on TrueJobs on the snapshot date, not the wider job market. Spotted an error? Report it and we will correct the edition.
