Role & Responsibilities

The selected Prosthetist & Orthotist will be responsible for providing specialized services to persons with intellectual disabilities at the CRC Nellore. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of individuals to determine their prosthetic (artificial limb) and orthotic (braces/splints) needs.
• Designing, fabricating, and custom-fitting a wide range of prosthetic and orthotic devices tailored to individual requirements.
• Providing gait training, functional training, and mobility assistance to maximize the independence and quality of life for beneficiaries.
• Educating patients, their families, and caregivers on the proper use, care, and maintenance of their devices.
• Performing regular follow-up assessments, adjustments, and repairs of devices as needed.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, progress reports, and inventory of materials.
• Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, doctors, and educators.
