Role & Responsibilities

As an Associate Senior Faculty / Designer (Assistant Professor) at NID MP, you will be instrumental in nurturing the next generation of design talent. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing and delivering engaging lectures, workshops, and studio sessions across various design disciplines, including Product-User Experience, Sustainability, Design Management, Automobile & Mobility, CMF Expert, Service Design, Biomimetics & Electronic Product Design, Film Design (editing/post-production), and Animation.
• Developing and updating curriculum content to align with industry trends and academic standards.
• Mentoring and guiding students on their academic projects, dissertations, and research initiatives.
• Conducting independent and collaborative research in your area of specialization, contributing to the institute's knowledge base.
• Participating in institutional development activities, including admissions, examinations, and administrative committees.
• Engaging in professional practice and consultancy projects, bringing real-world experience into the classroom.
• Fostering a creative and innovative learning environment that encourages critical thinking and experimentation.

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for these prestigious positions:

• Educational Qualification: An essential requirement is a Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Design from a recognized University or a reputed Institution. Candidates holding a Doctorate in Design will be given preference, as it is considered a desirable qualification.
• Experience: A minimum of 07 years of professional experience in the relevant field of Design is mandatory. This experience should ideally encompass areas such as Product-User Experience, Sustainability, Design Management, Automobile & Mobility, CMF Expertise, Service Design, Biomimetics & Electronic Product Design, Film Design (editing/post-production), Animation (with exposure to various animation mediums like stop motion, pixel animation), Material Expertise (especially non-textile materials), Drawing Proficiency (human figure, exemplary demonstration), Design Thinking (conceptual understanding, visual contextualization), Pedagogy (skills dissemination & knowledge sharing), Design Theories, elements/principles/color of Design, Graphic Design, System Design, UI-UX, Product Design, and Human Computer Interaction.
• Age Limit: The maximum age for applicants should not exceed 50 years as of the date of closure of the application, which is April 30, 2026.

Selection Process

Salary & Benefits

Selected candidates for the Associate Senior Faculty / Designer (Assistant Professor) positions will be offered an attractive remuneration package as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). The salary will be at Pay Level - 11 of the Pay Matrix, which typically ranges from INR 67,700 to INR 2,08,700 per month. In addition to the basic pay, employees are entitled to various allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and other benefits as per Central Government rules, making it a highly rewarding career opportunity.
