Role & Responsibilities

The OEM (Operations & Equipment Maintenance) personnel at NCPOR's Indian Research Bases in Antarctica play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning and operational readiness of the stations. Key responsibilities include:

• Operation and routine maintenance of various vehicles, including snowmobiles, PistenBullys, and other utility vehicles, essential for transport and logistics in the extreme polar environment.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of critical life support systems such as power generation units (generators), heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, water purification plants, and waste management facilities.
• Conducting preventive maintenance checks, identifying potential issues, and performing timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.

Eligibility Criteria
