Vacancy & Post Details

The 7 vacancies are for the post of Senior Accountant on a deputation basis. The positions are located at the following CAT benches: Ahmedabad, Cuttack, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Lucknow, and Srinagar. The selected candidates may be posted at any of these benches or any other bench of the Tribunal as required.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility is based on current employment and experience in specific government accounting roles. Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

• Currently serving as a Senior Accountant in a Departmentalised Accounting Organisation or as an Auditor in the Indian Audited Accounts Department.
• Currently serving as a Senior Accountant in CGA Defence, P&T, and Railways in that grade.
• Currently serving as a Junior Accountant in the Departmentalised Accounting system or under CGA Accounts Department of Defence, P&T, or Railways, or as an Auditor under CAG with a minimum of 5 years of experience in that grade.
• Currently serving as an Assistant in the CSS Cadre with 3 months of Cash and Accounts training conducted by ISTM.

The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

Salary & Benefits

The selected candidates will be placed in Level-5 of the Pay Matrix (Pre-revised Pay Band-1, ₹5,200-20,200 plus Grade Pay of ₹2,800). This corresponds to a pay range of approximately ₹29,200 to ₹92,300 per month, plus allowances as per the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Government employees on deputation are entitled to all standard central government benefits, including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance (TA), and medical facilities. They remain under the National Pension System (NPS) or Old Pension Scheme (OPS) as applicable from their parent department.
