Role & Responsibilities

The Assistant Store Officer at AIIMS Guwahati is a Group B post responsible for managing and overseeing the storage, procurement, and distribution of medical and non-medical supplies within the institute. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining accurate inventory records of all store items including medicines, equipment, and consumables.
• Coordinating with departments for timely procurement and supply of materials.
• Ensuring proper documentation and compliance with government procurement rules and guidelines.
• Supervising store staff and managing day-to-day store operations efficiently.
• Conducting periodic stock verification and preparing reports for senior management.
• Ensuring proper storage conditions and minimizing wastage or pilferage of materials.
• Liaising with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments for smooth supply chain management.

Eligibility Criteria

This recruitment is on a deputation basis, meaning candidates must be currently serving government employees who meet the prescribed criteria. The key eligibility conditions are as follows:

Salary & Benefits

• Additional Allowances: House Rent Allowance (HRA), Dearness Allowance (DA), Transport Allowance (TA), and other admissible allowances as per Central Government norms.
• Medical Benefits: Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) or equivalent medical facilities.
• Leave Benefits: As per Central Government service rules including earned leave, medical leave, and casual leave.
• The post is a Group B gazetted/non-gazetted position with all associated service benefits.
