IBPS Clerk Cutoff 2026 — State-Wise & Category-Wise Cut Off Marks

Last updated: 7 March 2026

IBPS Clerk 2026 Overview

The IBPS Clerk Cutoff is unique because it is determined state-wise, not just category-wise. Since clerk vacancies are state-specific (candidates are posted in the state they apply from), cutoffs vary significantly across states. Southern states like Kerala and Karnataka typically have higher cutoffs, while North-Eastern states have lower cutoffs.

How IBPS Clerk Cutoff Works

  • Prelims: National-level screening with sectional + overall cutoffs. Approximately 10× vacancies shortlisted for Mains.
  • Mains: State-wise merit. Final selection is based on Mains score alone (no interview for Clerk posts).
  • State-wise variation: Kerala General cutoff can be 20+ marks higher than Assam or Meghalaya cutoff for the same category.

IBPS Clerk Cutoff Trend (2022–2024)

Prelims overall cutoff for General has been in the 45-55 range out of 100 marks nationally. However, the state-wise Mains cutoff shows dramatic variation — from 35 in some NE states to 72 in Kerala for General category.

Expected IBPS Clerk 2026 Cutoff

Prelims cutoff is expected at 48–56 out of 100 for General. Target 60+ for safe qualification. Mains cutoff will vary by state — check state-specific trends.
