Role & Responsibilities

The Superintending Engineer at AIIMS Guwahati is a senior Group A technical position responsible for overseeing all civil and engineering works within the institute. Key responsibilities include:

• Planning, execution, and supervision of construction and infrastructure development projects within the campus.
• Ensuring quality control and adherence to engineering standards in all ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Coordinating with government agencies, contractors, and internal departments for timely project completion.
• Preparing technical reports, estimates, and tender documents for engineering works.
• Monitoring maintenance of buildings, utilities, and other physical infrastructure of the institute.
• Ensuring compliance with safety norms, environmental regulations, and government guidelines.
• Supervising junior engineering staff and providing technical guidance as required.

Eligibility Criteria

This position is being filled on a deputation basis. Eligible candidates must be serving officers from Central Government, State Government, or other recognized public sector organizations. The key eligibility requirements are:

• Post: Superintending Engineer (Group A)
• Job Type: Deputation
• Qualification: As per the deputation norms applicable to the equivalent post in the parent cadre/department. Candidates should hold analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department.
• Age Limit: As per Government of India deputation rules. Generally, the maximum age limit for deputation is 56 years as on the closing date of application.
• Experience: Relevant experience in engineering and infrastructure management in a government organization is desirable.

Selection Process

Since this recruitment is on a deputation basis, the selection process will follow standard Government of India deputation guidelines:

Salary & Benefits

The selected candidate will be entitled to the following pay and benefits as per Government of India rules:

• Pay Level: Level 13 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC)
• Pay Scale: Rs. 1,23,100 – Rs. 2,15,900 per month
• Additional Benefits: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and other admissible allowances as per Central Government norms.
• Medical facilities and other perquisites as applicable to Central Government employees.
• The candidate will be governed by the service conditions of the parent department during the deputation period.
