Role & Responsibilities

The Security Officer at SGPGIMS will be responsible for overseeing and managing the overall security operations of the institute campus. Key responsibilities include:

• Planning, organizing, and supervising security arrangements across the SGPGIMS campus and its facilities.
• Managing and coordinating the security personnel deployed at various entry and exit points of the institute.
• Handling law and order situations, including agitations, strikes, and protests by employees or other groups on campus.
• Liaising with local police authorities and law enforcement agencies as required.
• Ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, visitors, and institute property.
• Implementing and reviewing security protocols, standard operating procedures, and emergency response plans.

• Coordinating with administrative departments for smooth functioning of security operations.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements to application window closed for the Security Officer (On Deputation) post at SGPGIMS Lucknow:

• Departmental Eligibility: Officers of the Police Departments of Central Government, State Governments, or Union Territories (UTs), or officers of the Armed Forces including Paramilitary Forces.
• Pay Level – Option 1: Officers holding an analogous post in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix (Pre-revised: PB-3, ₹15,600–39,100 + Grade Pay ₹5,400).
• Pay Level – Option 2: Officers with a minimum of 03 years of regular service in Level 08 of the Pay Matrix (Pre-revised: PB-3, ₹9,300–34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,800) or above.
• Desirable Experience: Candidates preferably having experience connected with security management, handling agitations, and managing strikes of employees will be given preference.

Selection Process
