Role & Responsibilities

The Registrar at AIIMS Guwahati is a senior Group A administrative post responsible for overseeing the overall administrative functioning of the institute. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and supervising all administrative departments of the institute.
• Coordinating academic activities including admissions, examinations, and academic records.
• Liaising with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and other government bodies on administrative matters.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, government orders, and institutional policies.
• Overseeing human resource management, including recruitment, service matters, and staff welfare.
• Maintaining official records, correspondence, and documentation of the institute.
• Supporting the Director and other senior officials in policy implementation and institutional governance.
• Handling legal, financial, and procurement-related administrative matters in coordination with relevant departments.

Eligibility Criteria

This post is being filled on a deputation basis. Eligible candidates must be serving officers from Central Government, State Government, or other recognized institutions who meet the prescribed criteria for deputation as per DoPT guidelines. Selection Process

Since this is a deputation post, the selection process will follow standard Government of India deputation norms. The process typically involves:

Salary & Benefits

The selected candidate will be placed at Level 12 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) pay matrix, which corresponds to a pay scale of Rs. 78,800 – Rs. 2,09,200 per month. In addition to the basic pay, the incumbent will be entitled to:

• Dearness Allowance (DA) as applicable to Central Government employees.
• House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per the city classification norms.
• Transport Allowance (TA) as admissible.
• Medical facilities as per AIIMS norms.
• Other allowances and perquisites as per Central Government rules applicable to deputation postings.

The terms and conditions of deputation will be governed by the DoPT OM on deputation, and the period of deputation will be as per the standard norms.
