Role & Responsibilities

The Public Prosecutor (PP) at NCB will be responsible for representing the Bureau in courts of law in matters related to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and other related legislation. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting prosecution in criminal cases filed by the NCB before various courts.
• Providing legal opinions and advice to the NCB on matters related to drug law enforcement.
• Drafting legal documents, plaints, written statements, and other court-related paperwork.
• Liaising with investigating officers and senior officials to build strong prosecution cases.
• Representing the NCB in appeals, revisions, and other legal proceedings before High Courts and other judicial forums.

Eligibility Criteria
