Role & Responsibilities

As a Faculty/Designer at NID MP, you will be instrumental in shaping the next generation of design leaders. Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality lectures and conducting practical sessions across various design disciplines, including Product-User Experience, Design Management, Automobile & Mobility, CMF Expert, Service Design, Drawing Proficiency (Human Figure), Design Thinking, Visual Contextualization, Film Design (editing/post-production), Design Theories, Graphic Design, System Design, UI-UX, Product Design, and Human Computer Interaction.
• Developing and updating curriculum content to align with industry trends and academic standards.
• Mentoring and guiding students on design projects, dissertations, and research initiatives.
• Engaging in personal research and professional development activities to contribute to the institute's knowledge base.
• Participating in institutional activities such as admissions, examinations, committee work, and outreach programs.
• Contributing to the overall academic and administrative functions of the institute, fostering a vibrant learning environment.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring for the Faculty/Designer positions at NID MP must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification:
  • Essential: A Degree or Diploma in Design from a recognized University or a reputed Institution.
  • Desirable: A Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Design will be considered an added advantage.
• Experience: A minimum of 05 years of relevant experience in the field of Design is mandatory. This experience should ideally align with the specialized areas mentioned, such as Product-User Experience, Design Management, Automobile & Mobility, CMF Expert, Service Design, Drawing Proficiency, Design Thinking, Visual Contextualization, Film Design, Design Theories, Graphic Design, System Design, UI-UX, Product Design, and Human Computer Interaction.
• Age Limit: The maximum age of the applicant should not exceed 45 years as of the date of closure of the application period (April 30, 2026). Age relaxations for reserved categories will be applicable as per Government of India norms.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Faculty/Designer positions at NID MP is designed to identify candidates with exceptional design acumen, teaching capabilities, and relevant experience. It typically involves:

• Application Scrutiny: Initial screening of all received applications based on the essential qualifications, experience, and age criteria. Only shortlisted candidates will proceed to the next stage.

Salary & Benefits

Selected candidates for the Faculty/Designer positions at NID MP will be offered an attractive remuneration package as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) recommendations. The salary will be at Pay Level - 10 of the Pay Matrix. This translates to a competitive basic pay along with various allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and other benefits as admissible to Central Government employees.
