About the Organisation

The North Eastern Council Secretariat, operating under the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, is the nodal agency for the economic and social development of the eight states of the North Eastern Region of India. The North East Cane and Bamboo Development Council (NECBDC), an autonomous body under the NEC, is dedicated to promoting the cane and bamboo sector in the North East. Role & Responsibilities

The Managing Director (MD) of NECBDC will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of the Council's operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Formulating and implementing policies and programs for the development of the cane and bamboo sector.
• Overseeing project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure timely and effective delivery of initiatives.
• Managing financial resources, ensuring prudent utilization and compliance with government norms.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, artisans, and local communities.
• Promoting research and development in cane and bamboo technology and product innovation.
• Facilitating market access and promoting the branding of North Eastern cane and bamboo products.
• Leading and motivating a team of professionals to achieve the Council's objectives.
• Representing NECBDC at various national and international forums.

Eligibility Criteria

Salary & Benefits

• Pay Matrix Level-13: This corresponds to the pre-revised pay band of PB-4 (Rs. 37,400 - 67,000/-) along with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700/-.
• OR
• Pay Matrix Level-12: This corresponds to the pre-revised pay band of PB-3 (Rs. 15,600 - 39,100/-) along with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7,600/-.

In addition to the basic pay, the incumbent will be entitled to other allowances and benefits as admissible to Central Government employees on deputation, including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and medical facilities, as per extant rules.
