Role & Responsibilities

As a Works Engineer at IRCON, you will be instrumental in the execution and supervision of critical infrastructure projects. Specific responsibilities will vary based on the discipline:

• Works Engineer/Civil: Oversee and manage civil construction activities, including site supervision, quality control, project scheduling, and coordination with contractors. Ensure strict adherence to engineering standards, specifications, and safety protocols for all civil works.
• Works Engineer/Electrical: Responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems within construction projects. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and project timelines. Manage electrical infrastructure and related equipment.
• Works Engineer/S&T: Focus on Signal & Telecommunication (S&T) works, which include the implementation and maintenance of Electronic Interlocking, Relay Interlocking, Automatic Signaling, Telecom Works, and Kavach systems. Duties involve on-site execution, testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring the operational readiness of S&T systems.

All Works Engineers will be expected to work on-site, report to senior project managers, and ensure project milestones are achieved efficiently and effectively.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  • Works Engineer/Civil: Full-time Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with not less than 60% marks from a recognized university/institution.
  • Works Engineer/Electrical: Full-time Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering with not less than 60% marks from a recognized university/institution.
  • Works Engineer/S&T: Full-time Graduate Degree in Engineering/Technology with not less than 60% marks in Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university/institution.
• Experience:
  • Works Engineer/Civil: Minimum one year of post-qualification experience in Civil Construction works.
  • Works Engineer/Electrical: Minimum one year of post-qualification experience in Electrical Construction works.
  • Works Engineer/S&T: Minimum one year of post-qualification experience in areas of Electronic Interlocking/ Relay Interlocking/ Automatic Signaling/ Telecom Works/Kavach.
• Age Limit: The maximum age limit for applicants is 30 years as on 01.02.2026. Age relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories will be applicable as per Government of India norms.
• Job Location: Selected candidates will be posted at various project sites across Haryana, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh. Applicants must be willing to work in any of these locations as per project requirements.
