Role & Responsibilities

As an Executive Officer (Census) on deputation, you will be instrumental in the planning, coordination, and successful implementation of Census and other large-scale survey activities across India. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the formulation of strategies and methodologies for Census operations.
• Coordinating with various state and central government departments, local bodies, and other stakeholders for smooth execution of field activities.
• Supervising and monitoring the progress of data collection, processing, and compilation.
• Ensuring adherence to established guidelines, quality standards, and timelines for Census and survey projects.
• Preparing detailed reports, presentations, and analytical summaries based on collected data.
• Providing technical guidance and support to field staff and other personnel involved in survey activities.
• Managing resources effectively to achieve project objectives within defined parameters.
• Contributing to the development of training modules and conducting training sessions for Census functionaries.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in applying for the Executive Officer (Census) position must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
• Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in relevant fields, specifically in the coordination or implementation of Census or large-scale survey activities. This experience is crucial for understanding the complexities of national data collection efforts.
• Age Limit: The maximum age for applicants on deputation should not exceed fifty-six years as of the closing date of applications.

• Tenure: The initial tenure of deputation will be up to March 31, 2030, subject to further extension as per government rules.

This corresponds to a pay scale typically ranging from INR 67,700 to INR 2,08,700 per month. In addition to the attractive basic pay, officers on deputation will be entitled to various allowances and benefits as admissible to Central Government employees of a similar grade. These may include Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) (if not provided government accommodation), Transport Allowance (TA), and other perks as per government rules.
