Vacancy & Post Details

There is 1 (one) vacancy for the position of Junior Research Fellow at DMSRDE, Kanpur. The fellowship is initially awarded for a period of two years, which may be extended based on performance and project requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications (first division required):

• Option 1: Post Graduate degree in relevant basic sciences (Chemistry/Material Science/Polymer Science) with NET qualification.
• Option 2: Graduate degree in professional course (B.E./B.Tech.) in relevant discipline with NET/GATE qualification.
• Option 3: Post Graduate degree in professional course (M.E./M.Tech.) in relevant discipline (Chemical Engineering/Material Science & Engineering/Polymer Science/Technology) with first division at both graduate and post graduate levels.

Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation applicable: 5 years for SC/ST candidates (max 33 years) and 3 years for OBC candidates (max 31 years).

• Fellowship Amount: ₹37,000 per month for first two years
• Contingency Grant: Up to ₹15,000 per annum (first two years), ₹20,000 per annum (subsequent years)
• HRA: As per Government rules

The total monthly compensation including HRA will be approximately ₹42,000-45,000 depending on HRA rates applicable in Kanpur.
