Selection Process
General Merit (includes 3 Women, 2 Rural, 1 Disabled posts)
Selection will be made through a Skill Test (Shorthand and Typing) followed by document verification/interview, as detailed below: Candidates will be dictated a passage at 120 words per minute for 5 minutes each in Kannada and English shorthand at the time of the skill test. Candidates must transcribe the dictated passage using a computer within 45 minutes. Transcripts are checked using computer software. A minimum of 100 marks is fixed for each of the Kannada and English language skill tests, and candidates must secure at least 50 marks in each to qualify. Candidates who qualify the skill test are shortlisted for interview/document verification based on total marks, in a ratio of 1:5 per post (i.e., the top 5 candidates per vacancy). Final selection is based on the total marks scored in the skill test and document verification/interview.
